SCRIPTURE:
Mark 9:23 (The Message)
Jesus said, “If? There are no ‘ifs’ among believers. Anything can happen.”

DEVO:
That one word—if—has quietly held many believers hostage. It suspends movement, delays obedience, and drains confidence. Jesus confronts it directly, not with condemnation but with clarity. Faith has no room for hesitation masquerading as wisdom. “If” sounds cautious, but it often reveals a divided heart. One part hopes, the other braces for disappointment. Alignment begins when belief settles. The soul stops negotiating outcomes and begins to trust God’s character. Faith is not pretending certainty. It’s choosing trust even when emotions lag behind. When “if” is removed, possibility expands, courage strengthens, and movement begins. Your next shift isn’t blocked by a lack of ability. It’s waiting on a settled yes. Anything can happen when belief is no longer conditional.

PRAYER:
Lord, free my thoughts and words from ‘if,’ and settle my heart to trust You.

This week, notice where the word if shows up in your thinking and words. When it does, intentionally replace it with trust—out loud if you can—and take one step forward without waiting for perfect certainty.
