YOU CAN BECOME BETTER!

For the eagerly awaiting creation waits for the revealing of the sons and daughters of God.
                                                                                                                                            — Romans 8:

A Company of Believers is starting the new year with a focus on becoming better believers by deepening our faith. Throughout this year, we will immerse ourselves in the Word and strengthen our connection with Christ. This year, we will study the book of Romans, written by the Apostle Paul, which teaches us about God’s righteousness, the power of faith, and how we can live transformed lives.

As we journey through Romans, we will grow stronger in our belief in God’s salvation and learn how to apply His Word to our daily lives. The book emphasizes God’s love, His promises, and the unity that faith brings to the Church. It reminds us that we all need saving and that through Jesus, God has created a new family for His people.

Let’s take this journey through Romans and become better believers, grounded in the righteousness of God in Christ.

Prayer
Holy Spirit, give me knowledge and wisdom to understand Your Word. Illuminate the eyes of my understanding, flooding me with light until I experience the complete revelation of the hope of Your calling. I thank You in advance, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Reflective Prompts
Prompts in reflection serve several important purposes, helping to guide your thoughts, deepen self-awareness, and enhance your personal growth. Reflective prompts often push you beyond surface-level thoughts, encouraging you to examine your emotions, actions, or beliefs from multiple angles. They can help you uncover deeper insights about your values, motivations, and experiences. Lastly, journaling your thoughts support emotional processing, foster gratitude, and track your progress over time. By reflecting on your thoughts and experiences, you can clarify your intentions, improve self-understanding, and stay connected to your spiritual, personal, and professional development.

Respond
In Wayne Cordeiro's book The Divine Mentor, the SOAP method is described as a simple, four-step approach to engage deeply with scripture and apply it to your life. The steps are: Scripture (read a passage), Observation (note insights and lessons), Application (apply the lessons to your life), and Prayer (respond with prayer, committing to action). To grow through this suggested method, you can use reflective prompts and journal your inspiration following each of these stages, helping you deepen your understanding and integrate the lessons into your life.
