With Thanksgiving

Bring It All With Thanksgiving
“Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.” Philippians 4:6 (AMP)

Hey Believer,

There have been times when I brought God the whole messy bundle: the anxious thoughts, the questions, the details, the honest 'Lord, what in the world is happening?'—and somehow left out one important part.

The “with thanksgiving.”

Philippians 4:6 does not tell us to ignore what is troubling us. It tells us what to do with it. Bring it to God. Be specific. Pray about it.

And bring it with thanksgiving.

That part is not just a footnote. It matters.

Thanksgiving does not mean pretending everything feels good. It means remembering that God is still good as we tell Him what hurts and what is happening.

We can say, “Father, I do not know what to do, but thank You that You give wisdom.”

“Lord, I am tired, but thank You that You are my strength.”

“Father, I am still waiting, but thank You that You are with me.”

We can get so focused on what we still need God to change that we overlook how much He has already carried us through, covered, provided for, and kept us.

Maybe this week, we try something different.

Before we finish our prayers, let’s pause and ask: What can I thank God for right here, right now?
His presence. His mercy. His Word. His provision. His patience. His faithfulness.

Bring the concern.

Bring the request

Bring it all—with thanksgiving.

Let’s Pray:
Father, I thank You that I can bring every concern and every specific request to You. Holy Spirit, remind me to keep thanksgiving in my prayers, especially when life feels overwhelming. Help me remember who You are and what You have already done. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

The request may still be pending, but God’s faithfulness is already proven.

If someone came to mind while you were reading, share this with them and encourage their heart. And in the comments, let’s name one thing we’re giving God thanks for today.

Until next time...

Let this one linger,
— Nina
